The Ones That Didn't Get Away

This one was speared by my brother in-law Koby Meyer.
It was the first fish he has ever speared.
This is Jason's fancy new fish scale. Koby's fish weighed 14.8 lbs eight hours after it was speared.
It was 36 in. long

We had fun taking pictures of each other holding the slimy thing.

This was our Christmas Day catch.
It was a tradition in Jason's family to get up on Christmas Morning open presents and then they would all bundle up and go fishing with Dad.
Our family is proud to carry on this tradition.
Our family spent Christmas day together in Jason's warm cozy fish house
and we made some wonderful memories.

Kid Powered Laundry Service.

We have this huge sleeping bag that needed to be washed but would not fit in the washer.
So I threw it in the tub, filled it with water, added laundry soap, and three high energy children and Ta-DA
instant kid powered laundry service.
Sweet!
It was loads of fun.

And very energy efficient.

A Fishy Fish Story?

Jasons first attempt at muskie fishing this season proved successful, well sort of. (The fish in the picture was actually found floating in the water already dead.) Oh well, it makes a good fish story:)

A Day At The Park

We really miss our play group in Colorado so we went to the park and had some fun. We wanted to share our fun with all of you. This park is very near grandma's house. It is a really nice park. The kids decided to call it the ducky park,(due to the duck on a spring.)

High Speed!!!!!! Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today my parents got high speed internet hooked up. I will be able to post again with out spending a whole day doing it. I am excited and feel like I'm connected again. We are currently living with my parents. We are grateful to them for their willingness to take us in when we moved back to Minnesota. I am really enjoying the green. We have had a lot of moisture this spring. i guess i didn't realize how much i had missed it. Jason and I are working on being in our own house. As of now, (it changes frequently,)we are looking at next spring. We miss all of our Colorado friends and hope they are all doing well.

Update on the Update!

Jason has moved up our moving date. We will be leaving Colorado Febuary 16th. He had planned to stay till the end of Febuary to help out the company here, but they are not treating him with much respect so he moved the date. Higgins is thrilled that he is going to be there two weeks sooner. They are excited and can't wait for him to be back. So this leaves me nine days to pack. I have shifted back into packing mode big time.

The Big Move Update

Packing is going well. I have most of the stuff we do not need to use packed up. I am starting the cleaning phase. I washed all the walls in the playroom yesterday. we are scheduled to pick up the moving truck in Denver on Saturday March first. The kids are getting excited and love to help me pack stuff. It is less then a month now, and our new adventure will begin. I'm not looking forward to the long drive. it will be the first time I will have to drive the whole way by my self. Jason will drive the 26 foot moving truck(he's amazing) and I will drive our truck, with no extra drivers to trade off with. I guess we will take it one mile at a time.
